The following settings are available in the options menu in the game, accessed by pressing the Esc button.

General

  • Show Move Pad - The Move Pad is a mouse click-able UI frame for movement and jump.

  • Cinematic Subtitles – Enables subtitles during cinematics.
  • Enable Photosensitivity Mode - Modifies certain effects, such as the screen fading to white or bright spells, to help reduce photosensitivity issues
  • Quest Text Contrast - Makes quest text easier to read
  • Minimum Character Name Size - Adjusts the minimum size of character names.
  • Motion Sickness - Enabling the Motion Sickness setting will reduce camera movement and keep your character centered.
  • Camera Shake - Control the intensity of camera shake (None, Reduced, Full)
  • Cursor Size – Adjusts the size of the cursor.

  • Raid Self Highlight - Highlight your character in Raids and Battlegrounds with character outline and/or unit circle.
  • Spell Alert Opacity - Set the opacity of alerts that show in the center of your screen when certain important events occur.
  • Press and Hold Casting - If enabled, allows the player to press and hold a keyboard hotkey to continually cast a spell on an ActionBar without having to repeatedly press the button. This only supports keyboard hotkeys, clicking a spell with the mouse will still cast the spell a single time.
  • Empowered Spell Input - Empowered spells, as opposed to a cast or a channeled spell, require a second input to complete the spell can be switched between “hold and release” and “press and tap”.
    • Hold & Release: This input requires holding the spell keybind down to empower the spell. The spell is cast when the keybind is released.
    • Press & Tap: This input begins empowering the spell after pressing the keybind once. The spell is cast when the keybind is pressed again.
  • Show Target Tooltip – Shows your target’s tooltip without needing to mouse over it.
  • Interact Key Icons – Controls which icons appear above NPCs and objects when the Interact Key feature is enabled.
  • Arachnophobia Mode – Replace spiders with alternative creatures. This doesn’t affect gameplay or difficulty. For more information see our Arachnophobia Page.
Colorblind Mode
  • Enable UI Colorblind Mode – Adds additional information to tooltips and several other interfaces.
  • Colorblind Filter – Adjusts the game color for specific types of colorblindness

Text to Speech

  • Transcribe Voice Chat – Allows enabling transcription on a voice channel in order to see written text based on the words spoken by other players.
  • Read Chat Text out loud – Reads chat text out loud using the voice text to speech system based on the selected options.

    • Add <Character Name says> in speech
    • Play a sound when a chat window has activity and is not focused
    • Read my own messages out loud
    • Adjust Rate of Speech

    • Voice Options uses operating system voices. For more voice options see our Support Page.
  • Speak for me in Voice Chat – Enables typing into the voice chat window to speak to other players using the selected voice.

Mounts

  • Motion Sickness – Helps to address motion sickness while skyriding.
    • Landscape Darkening – applies a darkening effect around the outside of the screen.
    • Focal Circle – adds a focal circle crosshair to the center of the screen.
  • Skyriding Screen Effects – Disabling screen effects may help with motion sickness.
  • Skyriding Speed Effects – Disabling visual speed effects may help with motion sickness.
  • Pitch Control – Helps to address hand motor function while skyriding.
    • Backward/Up – Makes the Move Backward input also Pitch Up and the Move Forward input also Pitch Down while skyriding.
    • Forward/Up – Makes the Move Forward input also Pitch Up and the Move Backward input also Pitch Down while skyriding.
  • Debounce Pitch Input - If enabled while using Move Forward and Move Backward to control pitch, this setting will require those inputs to be pressed again when transitioning between grounded and dragonriding.
  • Keyboard Pitch Camera Follow - Adjusts the speed that the camera pitches to follow the player when using Move Forward and Move Backward inputs to control pitch.
  • Min/Max Keyboard Pitch Speed - Adjusts the pitch speed of keyboard input.
  • Min/Max Keyboard Turn Speed - Adjusts the turn speed of keyboard input.
  • Ride Along – Enabled at a Skyriding Trainer, it will allow a member of your group to ride along on your Skyriding mount.

Other character control settings that may have Accessibility gameplay effects

  • Enable Interact Key – Allows you to interact with NPCs and objects using a keypress.
  • Interact Key Sound Cue – Plays a sound cue when you become able or unable to interact with a target.
  • Click-to-Move – Use mouse clicks to move your character destination.
  • Auto Loot - Sets Auto Looting as the default action when clicking on lootable things. (Looting when this is checked, or Auto Looting when it is not, is performed by holding the Loot Key / Auto Loot Key.)
  • Mouseover Cast - Once enabled, mousing over a unit frame and casting a spell using a keyboard hotkey will cast it directly on that unit without having it targeted.
  • Self Cast - When this is enabled, friendly target spells that you cast while you have a non friendly target or no target will automatically be self cast.
  • Empowered Spell Input - Empowered spells, as opposed to a cast or a channeled spell, require a second input to complete the spell.
  • Enable Action Targeting - A targeting system that dynamically targets enemies based on where you're looking. Works alongside the standard targeting system.
  • Click Casting – Cast bound spells and macros by clicking on the unit or raid frames.
  • Auto Dismount in Flight - If enabled, your character will automatically dismount before casting while flying.
  • Mouse Look Speed - Adjust the speed at which you turn the camera when using mouse look.
  • Enable Mouse Sensitivity - Adjust the speed at which the mouse cursor moves.
  • Auto Follow Speed - Adjust the camera movement speed in Always and Smart following styles.
  • Camera Following Style
    • Only horizontal when moving - Set the camera to stay where placed, except when your character is moving. (only adjusts horizontal position)
    • Only when moving - Set the camera to stay where placed, except when your character is moving.
    • Always adjust camera - Set the camera to always prefer being behind your character.
    • Never adjust camera - Set the camera to stay where set, and never auto adjust.

  • In-Game Navigation - Display an in-world marker indicating the direction and distance of a tracked quest or waypoint.

  • Loss of Control Alerts - Shows an alert in the middle of the screen when you lose control of your character.
  • Ping System – Ping Mode
    • Quick Ping - Press and release the ping keybind to contextually ping, or press and hold to trigger the ping radial menu.
    • Relaxed Ping - When pressing the ping keybind, click to contextually ping, or click and drag to trigger the ping radial menu.
  • Ping Sounds - Toggles ping sounds on and off as well as adjusts volume.
  • Show Pings in Chat - Toggles ping chat messages on and off
