- I've been banned from competitive.
- Why did I get a comp ban?
Breaking Blizzard's Code of Conduct in Overwatch can result in Competitive Play restrictions. This includes behavior such as leaving, throwing, and abusive chat—in short, trying to ruin others' play experience. If this behavior becomes a pattern, the restrictions will escalate in severity, eventually resulting in being banned from Competitive Play for the remainder of the season. Competitive bans are lifted when the next season begins.
If your account is banned from Competitive Play during three separate seasons, your account may be permanently banned from Competitive Play. We do not overturn these account restrictions, regardless of the reason.
If your account was restricted from Competitive Play because of connection problems, we recommend following the steps on our Overwatch Disconnection Problems article, and sticking to non-competitive matches until you've resolved those problems.
