- Battleground queue times are taking longer then the average queue times

The queue time for any battleground is going to depend on who is queuing at the time you enter the queue. If there are not enough people of one faction, or not enough people for the type of battleground you are queuing for, the queue will take significantly longer.
In Modern WoW, characters who have disabled their experience are queued separately from the rest of players. This reduces the number of people queuing in each pool and may make queues longer.
