In order to unlock the Brawl play mode, you must first reach level 18 on the Apprentice Track (or skip the Apprentice Track).
Brawls are time limited events, so are not always active. A Brawl run lasts until you either win 6 matches, or lose 3 matches. After the run ends, you can queue to play again, if it won't allow you to queue the Brawl may have ended.
The better you do in your run, the better your reward will be at the end. If you don't finish your run before the Brawl event is over, any earned rewards are granted to you, they will not be lost.
The cost of a Brawl varies, with Normal Brawls being free to enter, and Heroic costing either 1000g or 1000 Runestones. Some special Brawls may have a different price, for example it could be free the first time, and then cost either 2 Tavern Tickets, 300 gold, or 400 Runestones.
The same Tavern Brawl may come back in the future, but Customer Support has no information about upcoming Tavern Brawls or future schedules.
