Stuck at "Checking Versions" when logging in to Battle.net from Diablo IIIf Diablo II (2000) does not progress past "Checking Versions", follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
- Troubleshoot compatibility settings for Diablo II.
- Download and run the latest patch here to update Diablo II.
- Configure your security software to allow our game to run
- Uninstall and reinstall the game
- If all of the above fails, try updating or creating a new Windows account to resolve permission issues with your operating system (Windows 10 and 11 only)
If the issue persists, you may have a temporary restriction.
