Configuring the Game for Your TV

Diablo III

Run the game in Windowed Mode:

  1. Click Start. (In Windows® 8, press Windows Key + Q.)
  2. Click Documents or My Documents. (In Windows 8, type documents and press Enter.)
  3. Open the Diablo III folder.
  4. Open the D3Prefs.txt file in a text editor (like Notepad).
  5. Locate the line DisplayModeWindowMode "0".
  6. Change the number value to 1.
  7. Press Ctrl + S to save the file.
  8. Close the file.

If the issue persists, set the game resolution to match your desktop resolution:

  1. Click Start. (In Windows 8, press Windows Key + Q.)
  2. Click Documents or My Documents. (In Windows 8, type documents and press Enter.)
  3. Open the Diablo III folder.
  4. Open the D3Prefs.txt file in a text editor (like Notepad).
  5. Locate the lines DisplayModeWidth "800" and DisplayModeHeight "600".
  6. Change the number values to match your desktop resolution. (Width is the larger number.)
  7. Press Ctrl + S to save the file.
  8. Close the file

StarCraft II

  4. Open the variables.txt file in a text editor (like Notepad).

  8. Close the file.

If the issue persists, set the game resolution to match your desktop resolution:

  1. Click Start. (In Windows 8, press Windows Key + Q.)

  3. Open the StarCraft II folder.
  4. Open the variables.txt file in a text editor (like Notepad).
  5. Locate the lines height=600 and width=800.
  6. Change the number values to match your desktop resolution. (Width is the larger number).
  7. Press Ctrl + S to save the file.
  8. Close the file.

Heroes of the Storm

  1. Navigate to your _retail_ folder. The default file location is C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_
  2. Open the WTF folder.
  3. Open the config.wtf file in a text editor (like Notepad).
  4. Locate the line SET gxWindow "0".
  5. Change the number value to 1.
  6. Press Ctrl + S to save the file.
  7. Close the file.

If the issue persists, set the game resolution to match your desktop resolution:

  1. Navigate to your _retail_ folder. The default file location is C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_
