With the introduction of Warbands, it becomes possible to get additional personal loot to drop for your character which is Warbound, unrelated to your character's class, and of a slightly lower item level than the content you completed.
This additional loot is not in place of any other drops, it is an extra intended to be given to alts to help with progression.
