Desktop Application Keeps Asking for Password

Common Problems

  • After the Authenticator prompt, the app asks me to enter my password again
  • After entering my credentials, the app goes back to "Please enter your password"

If you have selected to Appear Offline:

  1. Launch the App
  2. Click on the Settings icon in the login screen
  3. Select Use Last Status

​If you have a mobile Authenticator attached to your account:

  1. Login to your Account Management Security Settings
  2. Click Disable next to "Always require authenticator for login"
  3. Resync the Authenticator

Advanced Troubleshooting

  1. Delete the Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
  2. Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
  3. Uninstalling and reinstalling the App may resolve rare launcher issues.
