Common Problems
- Gift email has not arrived yet
- Bought a gift to a friend in the Battle.net Shop but did not receive it yet
Gifts purchased in the Battle.net Shop will not be available until the payment is processed and the order status is Complete. This can take up to 48 hours.
When the order status is Complete or Shipped, the gifted item will be available directly on the Battle.net account or as a code sent via email. Items such as games purchased through the Battle.net shop are only available for use on the Battle.net platform. For in-game content (e.g., cosmetics or currency), the gift will not appear on linked third party platforms until claimed on the Battle.net account and may additionally require a game login on the Battle.net account before it is available on other platforms.
If the intended target account has not received a gift after 48 hours, make sure the account holder checks all of the following locations:
- The Battle.net Desktop App gifts section, located next to the Notifications icon when a gift is available
- The Gifts page on the Battle.net website when logged in to your account
- Their email address inbox, spam and/or junk folder, and filters
- It may be necessary to troubleshoot filters using the information in this article
*Note: Overwatch currency does not sync between Battle.net and Nintendo Switch and must be purchased directly through the Switch to be available on that platform. To access in-game content on a third party platform, the specific platform must either own the game license or have access through a third party subscription.
