In WoW Classic, mail takes one hour to arrive even if the mail is from characters on the same account
In Wrath of the Lich King Classic, mail from the same Battle.net account arrives immediately
In Modern WoW, mail delivery time varies depending on the origin and attachments of the message:
- Simple messages, returned mail, and mail from guildmates arrive immediately
- Mail from the same Battle.net account also arrives immediately regardless of attachments
- Mail from another Battle.net account takes one hour to arrive if an item or currency is attached
- Mail from the Auction House to the seller takes one hour if currency is attached
