WoW Tokens are available for purchase in World of Warcraft and WoW Classic Progression. WoW Tokens are not available in WoW Classic Era.

WoW Token purchased from the Shop for real money can be sold on the in-game Auction House for gold. Tokens purchased on the Auction house for gold can be redeemed for $15 of Battle.net Balance or 30 days of Game Time.

I Want Game Time or Battle.net Balance
To purchase a WoW Token for Game Time or Battle.net Balance, select WoW Token while browsing the in-game Auction House. Once you click Buyout and confirm your purchase, your WoW Token will be mailed to you.
After you've purchased a Token from the Auction House, right-click the item in your inventory to open the Redemption window. You can choose to redeem your Token for 30 days of Game Time or $15 of Battle.net Balance. If you are at or near the Battle.net Balance cap, you will not be able to redeem a Token for Battle.net Balance.
If you've run out of Game Time but you have a Token in a character’s inventory, you'll be able to use the WoW Token from the character select screen and add Game Time to any WoW game account on your Battle.net Account. If your Game Time has expired, you can purchase and consume a WoW Token directly from the character select screen. Each character on the selected realm will contribute gold to the price of buying the WoW Token, including gold in characters' mailboxes.
I Want Gold
Open the in-game Shop in World of Warcraft and purchase a WoW Token. Once you've completed your purchase, the WoW Token will be placed in your inventory. If you don't have any inventory space, the Token will be mailed to you.
To sell your Token for gold on the auction house, follow these steps:
- Log in to World of Warcraft on the character that purchased the Token.
- Go to any Auction House and place your WoW Token into the Auctions tab as you would for any other auction.
- You will be shown the current selling rate for Tokens, and you can choose to list your Token or wait and list it later.
Limitations and Restrictions
- You cannot trade, mail, vendor, bank, or destroy Tokens. Tokens purchased for real money can only be sold; Tokens purchased for gold can only be consumed for Game Time or Battle.net Balance.
- You cannot delete, transfer, faction change, race change, or boost any character with a Token in their inventory.
- You may use the in-game Shop to purchase a maximum of 20 Tokens per week.
- Your Battle.net Account can only have one type of Token and:
- a maximum of 20 Tokens purchased with money in your inventory at one time.
- a maximum of 10 Tokens purchased with gold in your inventory at one time.
- Depending on market activity, a Token may take several days to sell. Tokens are sold in the order they are listed on the Auction House.
- You cannot purchase Tokens if your World of Warcraft region doesn't match the country listed on your Battle.net Account. For example, you cannot purchase a Token on a WoW account in the NA (Americas) region if your Battle.net Account is registered to an EU country.
- A WoW Token can be purchased from the character select screen using gold from multiple characters on the realm, no matter their faction. Gold in the mailbox also contributes.
- You cannot purchase a WoW Token unless you have spent real money to purchase and use at least 26 days of game time since 2017. The first paid month needs to have fully passed.
- Parental Controls may block you from listing a Token on the Auction House.
- Token auctions cannot be canceled.
- The Auction House does not take a cut from Token sales.
- May not be available for limited-time game modes. Not available for Timerunning Characters.
WoW Token purchased from the Shop for real money can be sold on the in-game Auction House for gold. Tokens purchased on the Auction house for gold can be redeemed for 30 days of Game Time. Tokens cannot be redeemed for Battle.net Balance in WoW Classic Progression.

I Want Game Time
To purchase a WoW Token for Game Time select WoW Token while browsing the in-game Auction House. Once you click Buyout and confirm your purchase, your WoW Token will be mailed to you.
After you've purchased a Token from the Auction House, right-click the item in your inventory to redeem your Token for 30 days of Game Time.
If you have run out of Game Time you cannot interact with the WoW Token system in WoW Classic Progression; you must consume your Token while you still have active Game Time on your account and you can only use the Token on the same account on which the Token was purchased for gold. Customer support does not assist with temporary access to the game in order to purchase a WoW Token.
I Want Battle.net Balance
WoW Tokens cannot be consumed for Battle.net Balance in WoW Classic Progression, only for Game time. Once purchased, a Token cannot be refunded.
I Want Gold
To purchase a WoW Token with real money, go to the in-game Auction House and select the WoW Token category, then click the yellow i button in the top right corner of the Auction house interface. Once you've completed your purchase, the WoW Token will be placed in your inventory. If you don't have any inventory space, the Token will be mailed to you.
To sell your Token for gold on the auction house, follow these steps:

- Go to any Auction House and place your WoW Token into the Auctions tab as you would for any other auction.
