- Time out communicating with Blizzard Services
This error is typically caused by a connection issue. To resolve this problem please follow the steps:
- Restart your computer before doing any other troubleshooting. This can resolve many program conflicts and other temporary issues
- Optimize your internet connection. Your current setup may have issues impacting gameplay
- Run the repair tool to repair any damaged game files
- Configure your security software to allow our game to be patched
- Uninstall and reinstall your Battle.net App
- If all of the above fails, try updating or creating a new Windows account to resolve permission issues with your operating system (Windows 10 and 11 only)
- If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.
- Check your network configuration to find any issues with your firewall, router, or port settings.
- Reset your network devices to make sure your router hasn't become flooded with data.
- Run your console's built-in connection test (PlayStation 4) (Xbox One) (Nintendo Switch).
- Select Show Network Stats from the Options > Video menu to view connection information. Our Diagnosing Overwatch Network Problems article defines each stat with possible troubleshooting steps.
