Cannot Link My Third Party Platform and Accounts

Common Problems

  • Account Linking Error: An error occurred while linking your accounts. Please try again later.
  • I can't link my console account to
  • Received the error “whooops! something went, wrong try again later!”

You can link your third party platform's account to your account on the Account Management Page.

If you cannot link your third party platform and accounts:

  1. Make sure your account is not a trial account
  2. Check if your account already has an account linked to it. Each account may only have one Steam, PSN, one Xbox Live, and one Nintendo Switch account linked to it
  3. Check if your third party platform's account is already linked to a different account. The same third party platform account cannot be linked to multiple accounts


If you continue to have issues, associated with a "Whoops! Something went wrong." error, you may have to wait up to 30 days to establish a new connection.

Account links have cooldowns limiting how often they can be changed. You will receive a warning in Account Management specifying the cooldown length when disconnecting an account type that has a cooldown. Customer Support cannot assist with bypassing cooldowns on linking accounts. You can link the third-party platform back to your previous account.
